See Genesis 3:9
There are many questions that should be answered and many that will be answered. These that we have raised here are questions that the sScriptures reveal. There are many others but these will suffice for a thought-provoking moment of meditation.
I. Where are thou?
Gen. 3:9
Certainly every man must realize where he is with relation to his God. You know and so do I –
A. Where are thou concerning your eternal well being?
B. Where are thou concerning your services to your God?
C. Where are thou concerning your dedication and consecration?
II. What shall I do with Jesus, called the Christ?
See Matthew 27:22
A. Will you do as the multitude – cry and crucify him?
B. Will you do as did the Jews who cried “Let his blood be on us and our children?”
C. Will you do as Pilate who exclaimed, “I am innocent?”
III What shall I render unto the Lord for all his benefits toward me?
See Psalm 16:2
A. Will you take the cup of salvation?
B. Will you call upon the name of the Lord?
C. Will you pay your vows unto the Lord in the presence of his people?
D. Will you offer the sacrifice of Thanksgiving?
IV. What doth the Lord require of Thee?
See Micah 6:8
A. He requires that we love mercy – obtainable only through accepting Jesus, only the offered mercy of God.
B. He requires that we do justly – possible only after being justified in Christ.
C. He requires that we walk humbly with our God – which can only be done as we submit to his leadership
V. What doth it profit a man if he gain the whole world and lose his own soul?
See Mark 8:36
A. Ask Dives – the rich man in hell
B. Ask Belshazzer – the man who defied God
C. Ask Nebuchadnezzar – the man who ignored God.
Conclusion:
What is your answer to these questions?
Are they such that God would be pleased with them?
Are you willing to meet God with the answer you are now offering?
If not, you could come to Christ and have your sins covered by the blood of Jesus.
He is able and willing to cleanse you from all sin, and redeem your soul from a devil’s hell. So you can live with him forever in His Kingdom.
